Paris, France, 2013

Jumping off the ladder, I landed on the performance side. The umbrella did not soften my landing because the luggage was far too heavy. I secretly plucked nose hair to release some tears. I dissolved them in a large amount of water and doused myself with the solution. The audience tried to pull me up to the ceiling with a rope, which broke, and with it my heart, although my head should. I climbed the ladder and bowed to the audience over the curator holding an umbrella. I watched as liquid dripped from me onto the umbrella. I didn't notice a trace of blood.
I wrapped the umbrella tightly around my head, and with the cigarette I received, I burned a hole through which I could breathe, although I was only choking on the biting smoke.
