Dear Leena, could you tell shortly, what was the reason, that I’m chosen for the event which deal with risk in performance art?
Leena Kela:
I’ve seen quite a few of your works, and also have had a chance to make a performance collaboration with you some years ago, and I think there is always the feeling of risk involved in your performances. Your performances happen very much “in the moment” and they are playful, sometimes more in the sense of dark play and sometimes they are just funny, you never know beforehand!

How would be life like without taking risks? Most probabaly quite boring and lonely. At the Performance Art Saturday we take physical and mental risks and see where they lead us. In this evening art consists of mistakes and imperfection. - - Millaista olisi elämä ilman riskinottoa? Luultavasti hyvin tylsää ja yksinäistä. Performanssilauantaissa otamme fyysisiä ja henkisiä riskejä ja katsomme mihin ne meidät kuljettavat. Illassa virheet ja epätäydellisyys ovat taidetta.
