Paikkari Performance is a performance art event, arranged annually in Sammatti, Finland. The event takes place in the idyllic surroundings of Paikkarin Torppa (the Paikkari Croft), that is the birth place of Elias Lönnrot, the author of Finnish national epic Kalevala. The happening is a combination of Finnish folk tradition, and living contemporary art. Tickets 5€ on site, cash only. Under 18 years free of charge. Paikkari Performance is curated by performance artist Katri Kainulainen, produced by producer Johanna Fredriksson and hosted by Katri Kainulainen and Taike's regional artist Krista Petäjäjärvi.
