UP-ON, as an International Live Art festival, has helped the development of Live art in China and established an open international Art Exchange Platform. Since 2008, UP-ON has been held successfully for five times and over 145 artists from China and foreign countries have participated in the festivals in Chengdu, China. UP-ON has become one of the great academic contemporary Live art exchange platforms in China.
A4 Museum, JZFZ Museum, Southwest Jiaotong University and Sichuan University Art Museum, the four venues for the festival are providing publicity during and after the festival as well as space for the performances.
