FINDE TANDEM art symposium

From August 20 to 30, 2021, seventeen artists will meet in the Swabian town of Horb am Neckar for a joint art project.



Guests from Finland are :

Maire Karuvuori, Pasi Mäkelä, Tuomo Vuoteenoma,

Kalle Turakka-Purhonen,

Tomasz Szrama

and Henna Nerg.


They work together with local artists:

Katrin Kinsler,

Monika Golla,

Frank Fierke,

Walerija Peter,

Justyna Koeke

and Josef Nadj

in Finnish-German teams of two, the so-called FINDE tandems. (Artists at the Finde Tandems Symposium)

Since Laura Theis (UK) and Either Or (USA) cannot travel due to the pandemic, they form a virtual online group together with the local artist trio Stephanie Müller, Klaus Dietl and Helena Hartmann.

During the week-long art symposium, performances, installations, sculptures and multimedia art works will be created in a mutual creative exchange. The artworks will be presented to the festival audience on the final weekend, on August 28 and 29, open air between Horb´s marketplace and the river Neckar.

The international art symposium FINDE TANDEM is a module of the TANDEMS art festival Horb 2019-2021. Social cohesion is the motto of this project in cooperation between the Stadtmuseum Horb and Antonie-Leins-Künstlerhaus. This is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and Art, the Finnish Cultural Foundation, the Art Regio Kunststiftung, the Freudenstadt district and the city of Horb a. N. It is also accompanied by the Finland Institute in Germany.
