A memorial is an object which serves as a focus for the memory or the commemoration of something or somebody. The most common type of memorial is the gravestone or the memorial plaque. Such monuments should be made of durable materials to be able to commemorate as long as possible. Some memorials last longer than the memory of the events they commemorate. Regardless of the topic, the artists create works mainly to commemorate themselves. This monument is made on the measure of the achievements and it is dedicated to a man who can promise nothing but the ever potential failure. My works are inseparable from my person and although I compose image sequences and occasionally monumental installations, the nature of my actions is evanescent in every respect. Few traces are left behind aside from documentation. Who will remember those works and measure their true impact? Will anyone stumble upon the few megabytes of images left behind when I'm gone? The only advantage of my actions is the painful tangibility of direct contact with the present spectator, thanks to which I dare to compete with high-budget productions. What fate awaits me if even this is taken from me?
